Mirrors

I had the driver's side power mirror ripped of my 2012 tacoma. Does anyone know if these are the same as the mirrors for the 2011 model? if not, what is the cheapest place to get these online? I can do the install myself, but I can';t seem to find these anywhere except the local dealer who wants 220+ for one.

The 2012 model is the only year that came with the signal light in the mirrors. So if you want to have that back, then you will need to look for 2012 specific.

 

signal mirrors only came on the '12 Sports. Other than that I'm sure all mirrors from 05+ will work.

 

Do you need the whole mirror housing/assembly, or just the mirror glass?

 

I'm sure they would fit, but the mirrors are a different shape, the 2012's are more pointy, and the 05 - 11 are rounded

I'd be less pissed if it had been my own fault. But some drunk a**hole ripped off the mirror passing a bit too close while it was parked on the streeet. It was hanging from the electrical wiring the next morning. The glass was fine, but the base of the mirror (the part that attaches the rotating part to the window) is broken.

Too bad that the mirrors are different from the '11s. Any recommendations for a cheap(er) online source?

 

parts.com for parts... they are usually a little cheaper than Champion Toyota

has anyone tried installing the signal mirrors on their '12? i wonder if they are pre-wired?
