The biggest complaint I have about comfort in my Tacoma is that the hand hold is on the A pillar. It is hard to reach and does a poor job as an ape hanger. I am wondering if anyone has tried to add an after market hand hold above the door. I have seen these on Jeeps where they use nylon strap hangers with a plastic tube hand gripper and thinking that would be cool. I know that Tyco's have side curtain air bags but if these would hang just below them I think it should not be a safety issue. I recently peeked into a CRV with SCAB's and they had the hand holds in the right spot.
Any ideas or someone thought the same?

    Too many to list now.
As far as I know our airbags prohibit mounting in that spot. I've never pulled the lining back to see but that's what I've always understood. I miss that function too.

I miss the OS handle . . . well, my wife misses the handle. I drive. She holds on.
