Really there is a split here. Most fellas with a "girlfriend" just spend it and then make up later...if it gets bad they just dump them....

All of us who are MARRIED...well...you need to add a little finesse. Whether its buying her something first, or teaching her about why its important or, "keeping her happy", it takes a little finesse....

My wife and I just trust each other. Usually I want SOOOOO many different things, that she simply just boggles my mind with all of the other possible options that I could spend X amount of dollars on. My way around this, is to buy things that have seasons. My motorcycle is definitely a winter time purchase hobby. Same with guns. So in the winter time, I am looking at stuff for those hobbies. Problem with the dern truck is its ALL SEASON!!!

My next purchase will be sliders, and bumpers and possibly a winch. Lately I've just been bringing it up to her in random conversation. Kind of "planting a seed".

My wife doesn't get it. She is happy with a stock 4runner. HAHAHAH she got mad at me because I changed the head unit...

We are pretty good about talking about purchases...She'll also barter time with me....like "wait two months, if you want it, get it." I work an average of about 65 hrs a week, so she understands I need some outlets.

 

Yet I am single, I ain't broke. At least I can spend my money on whatever I want. To my friends who aren't into trucks and modding them, don't get it. Then I turn around and say, "well do you need a fourth pair of shoes? Do you need to go and buy magic cards? etc etc". Then again, they're all jealous that I'm single and have money and I'm f*cken happy!!!Woohoo!!

 

Just got a rant from the wife about how I've spent money upgrading sound system in an almost new truck instead of some things that need replaced in the house. But hey, I stay in trouble most of the time If I get tired of listening to her I can go for a drive and listen to my music

 

My wife told me last week that it was time for me to get a penis enlarger.
I asked if she was serious, and she said she was.
So I got one.
She is 21, and her name is Lucy....

Well my wife thinks I'm crazy but she bought me exactly what I wanted for my birthday. A Grillcraft insert. She did all the research on her own after I showed her a pic of what I wanted. Maybe we're both a little crazy.

 

At first my girlfriend didn't even like trucks, especially lifted ones. Of course the Tacoma changed that, now she's even into off roading it and understands and supports lifting the truck and getting bumpers.

 

Not only does my wife not mind the spending the money, but she thought i would have been crazy had I NOT bought the truck; now she is encourage me to get a 3" lift. I love it (and her!)..

 

Mine doesn't seem to mind as long as it's not something major... and as long as she gets equal treatment with her FJ.

My wife hates to find out that I bought something new for the Tacoma.... It blows her mind how much it all cost.
