    sigh

youd think that would be something youd check before shipping...

so what now, ship it back? get discount and take it to local shop? theres no way im doing this myself, avoiding the springs of death was the reason I paid for assembly in the first place. :(

Well I heard back from Toytec today, they apologised for the mistake and are shipping me a replacement today w/ a return label for the other one. I was told they were training new people so im guessing it was just a rookie mistake.

Anyway, I hope to get the right one sometime next week along with my dakars (were on backorder). After that I guess it will be another week or three to get everything ready and installed w/ new tires.

Hopefully this is the last bump in the road.

when training someone wouldn't u want to keep an eye on them and make sure they did it right before they shipped it? that's kind of ignorant on there part, that could have caused many issues if u were to install them that way.

Thats good they are correcting the problem but for what they charge to assembe them(shops charge 20 - 40 bux) you would think "convenience" is part of that amount. Well..........that convenience is lost now with all this shipping and waiting. Just saying if they're willing to profit like that off a service and then perform it wrong a partial refund is still due. Just my opinion and all the Toytec fanboys will prob flame me for that but i dont give a shit.

I know, I know, the only reason I didnt do the diy spring job or take it to a shop was cause I thought toytec would do a better job than either one. So much for that idea.

Still kinda suprised they would make a mistake like this in the first place tho, I mean one look at the coil and youd see its not right. I wouldnt refuse a partial refund for that, but I didnt ask and they didnt offer. If the new one arrives and its good, thats all I care about and will prolly just move on. =/

I understand and thats what they hope for..........I am not saying humans cant make errors. I just think that if a business is willing to charge a premium for a "convenience" and they fail to provide it then why should they profit from it. They got one right.....charge half of that silly price for assembling them wrong. I mean 100 dollars to put some pieces together?!...........and not even do it correctly but still charge that rediculous price. Just robbery.
