Oh hell yeah, I've noticed a major difference in tone. I'll take a better video in a couple as because I feel as if I just really fucked up on the first one, I wasn't keeping it in first and just doing it totally wrong, but at least you guys got a decent idea of how it sounds! :D

And I agree jtgroce, as long as It's not ****** shiny with chrome in all the wrong places!

Yeah a little chrome is good just don't go crazy with it. I have a neighbor who has a TRD DBSB that is red with chrome door handles, chrome vent visors, chrome tailgate handle, chrome mirrors, chrome gas cap lid and that with already having chrome grill/bumper looks like sh*t IMO

Chrome in all the right places. That's when it looks good, lol. If anything for the fuel door I would do a billet or brushed aluminum door but even then.. It would probably still look like crap.

It's video, it doesn't sound that raspy in real life. Camera's microphones interpret some sounds sort of weird like.

Yeah because truthfully I can't justify replacing BRAND NEW piping with an overpriced carbon copy of the stock exhaust except with a different muffler and tip. In all reality, that's all an aftermarket exhaust system is. Especially at the power levels our 4.0's are at in N/A form. The only convenience anyone gets out of an aftermarket system is the ability to do it from your driveway with a couple hand tools. For a couple hundred less ill have someone else modify stock stuff to my liking! :D

Do you guys actually like the sound that our trucks make when putting an aftermarket exhaust on? For me, I will stay with the factory exhaust. Anything else on these 6's, just doesn't sound good IMO. But that's just me, to each his own.

I have the borla proxs cut in and the exhaust cut off at the rear axle. It is perfect. Absolutely no drone or rasp. That was my requirement as well.

Man I wish could have chimed in early but just saw your post OP. I put the AT2525XL (resonated version as most know now) on my 09 DCLB Sport about 4 months ago and love it! Out of all the "muffler" only setups I heard and researched, for the cost involved, it sounded the best. And I still agree after having it for 4 months. Doesn't drone and sounds great when you want it to....gettin' on it. Like the OP I paid 90 for it and then had a local shop weld it in for $40.

Had the wife drive by me a few times at different speeds and power settings and I was very happy with the sound. Not raspy at all and I think it is a really nice balance for our trucks. Sounds great without being obnoxious. When I crank it up in the morning the wife can here the bass sound of it in the back of the house.

Just my opinion but for the cost and result, based on what I was looking for (similar to the OP) the AT2525XL version fit the bill exactly. Hope this helps those considering the AT.

I used to have the Borla ProXS mufflers on my GTO, those things were way too quiet to even have it sound like it was an aftermarket exhaust. I wanted something a little louder then that but it's not a bad choice as an alternative to AT.

This is a fantastic summary and review of it, I can't put any other thought into what else I can say other then what this man right here has said about the system. Like I said I'll take a better video here in the coming days because this one I posted does the system no justice.

I brought my Tacoma from Toyota and it already had a complete Borla Exhaust system installed. Sounds really bad ass!!!
