It usually works for me when I read the little card in the visor. Especially when I read the side that's in English

EDIT: Last night I was having plenty trouble just getting into 4hi...4x4 light kept flashing, even when trying to go back to 2hi. Rolling forward a bit helps, and it usually just CLUNKS in and out of 4x4.

Sorry things didn't work out. Have you had a look at codes yet? Here's hoping there's an easy answer for you.

The trick on mine since its a standard was to be completly stopped push clutch in all the way and then push it even farther I mean bury that SOB and hold it then flip the switch and wait ( mine take about 15 seconds).
Hope this helps bro

If you have an aftermarket floor mat in it take it out and try it the clutch has to go all the way down. Like others have said it it's blinking some thing is not right.

Yup, make sure you mash the clutch all the way in.
