I just noticed this the other day, but when i get in and out of my truck there is a squeak in the rear of the truck around the bed. (im only 150lbs) i got out, and just pushing sideways on the bed will make it squeak, and i can get a LOT of movement jumping/ bouncing on the back bumper. i bought the truck used and dont think the tsb was done.

any ideas as to what this could be/ how to fix?

Its the leafs...........Just use whatever tech you want to lube the leafs and bushings on shackles. I've used WD40 and Dupont Teflon spray both work for weeks if not months then you just do it again. Takes 5 min every 3 weeks at most.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
It's the leaf pack, if your truck is still under warranty I'd advise getting the TSB done, the stock leafs can't even hold 400lbs without sagging to the bump stops. This eliminates the squeak entirely and you can actually haul a load comfortably. Plus it kicks the back end of your truck up a few inches and makes it look cooler, at least I think it does.

On mine when it was same situation, it was the gas tank skid(plastic) that got caught on one of the bolts on the leaf spring.

For the record: My truck came from the factory with the "upgraded" 4 leaf pack, and I also get the squeaks. It's case of the bushing in between the leafs not being adequate. My started squeaking at 16,000 km, had the dealer check it out and lube it. And it did it again at 30,000. So they fixed it under warranty and put the new upgraded bushings in.

If you're out of warranty, I suggest checking out this sticky.

    this...

how did we go from squeaky bed to leaf springs?

Everyone needs to check their bed bolts and cab bolts. The cab bolts come loose especially if you wheel allot and so can the bed. Heck I think it even tells you to check the torque in the service manual. Luckily mine are seized so that's not an issue.
