I've been searching the forum for some input on this and can't find anything good. So instead I figured to ask the question myself.

My Taco is an 2005, owned it since new, and the driver seat adjustments drive me insane. It always seems like my ideal driving position is between two notches on the railings. Also the lumbar support nob has worn a hole into the side of the seat, it's small but unsightly.

Given these issues I'm considering replacing the OEM seats with aftermarket power ones, well at least power adjustments for the driver's side. Unfortunately I have no idea where to look to purchase seats or have them installed. More importantly, no clue as to who makes good ones.

Has anyone tried replacing the seats in the 2nd Gen Tacoma with aftermarket ones? If so, did you get aftermarket power seats or manual adjustment? What type did you get? Who installed them?

Power seats make your quest a whole lot more complicated.

If you're OK with manual stuff, Corbeau makes a great product and they sell brackets to make the installation a bolt-in deal.

Power would be nice, but not needed. My issue is with the adjustments so manual ones would work if they have better adjustments.

    Have you tried these seats?

Do you plan on keeping the SRS airbag system online, or Disabling them ?

Yeah that's why I was asking... There is a sensor in the seats that has to be connected for the airbags to work.

So, yes I do want want airbags to be functional. Are you saying the seats the others are recommending won't work with the airbags?
