I have a spot I hunt that requires my taco to cross some roots and flex a little bit. Nothing real bad (6-12 inchs is the drops) and nothing that requires hard turns, but there is a popping/stretching sound that seems to come from the front springs. I do have the stock springs with the 5100's set at 2.5 and the rear has progressive aal. No diff drop or anything.

Ive been through this bottom with several other vehicles without any issues, but this popping noise has me a little worried because it does it every time i go through the spot.

    Anybody else having these issues?

Maybe try lookin at the sway bar links to make sure they are tight. I'm not real sure

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I'd also say check your sway bar to make sure it's tightened all the way down. If not that then maybe you already have some bad bushings in your LCA's. From here, may have to get some more people in here.

I dont think it is the sway bar contacting the coils, but I will check. It doesn't do it any other time unless its a decent flex amount. Cant get it to make the sound under normal driving conditions, but it does it every time when I go through this certain area on my way to the stand.

All this reminds me of the old joke where the guy goes to the doctor to say "It hurts when I do this," with the doctor saying "Well, then don't do that." :)

Seriously, have you tried simulating the same flex conditions in your garage with a drive-on tire ramp or similar? If you can get the sound to repeat, you might get a hint about the problem by looking around under the truck.

Of course, be careful while doing this. You probably don't want to get ran over by your own truck while trying to identify a sound coming from it.

Could be stress in the sheet metal rubbing from the pinch weld area. I had this on my truck and have since solved it.

My 12 was doing the same thing ,except its all stock suspension. It use to only happen when the truck was turning and it was flexing out pretty good.I took mine to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong. It was doing it with 170 miles on it , it now has about 13xx and the noise is completely gone.Sorry I'm not any help my noise just went away.

If you think it is coming from the rear, double check the torque on your u-bolts.
