Just bought a 2012 tx pro, driving today I went passed 2 different radars that showed I was going 3 miles an hour slower than what my speedometer says. Everything is stock, has anyone else noticed this or is this my problem.
I would assume any trd would be the same.
I did have the dealership roadforce balance everything the very next day after I bought it but that surely would have nothing to do with it.
    Just curious,thats all.

OCD much? They may be off slightly, but are still within the allowable tolerance.

    **
    United States

Federal standards in the United States allow a maximum 5 mph error at a speed of 50 mph on speedometer readings for commercial vehicles.[13] Aftermarket modifications, such as different tire and wheel sizes or different differential gearing, can cause speedometer inaccuracy.

    You are off about 2%!!!!????

LEMON LAW. Do NOT walk, RUN to an attorney to arrange for a new truck.
You got screwed, man. There is not a judge or arbitrator in this country who would not tell Toyoda to give you a decent truck back for the turd you ended up with.

Mine is off by at least 4 mph. When I first got the truck I could not understand why everybody was going so fast on the interstate.....
Went thru 2 speed sighns that showed me slower than actual and had a buddy drive beside me on the mobile told me his speed and mine is always 4 mph slower.

MOST speedometers are off by as much as 5 MPH either high or low and they are within specification IAW the federal government regulations.

Sorry,I beg to differ, I driven cars bikes, boats, pickups, cement trucks, dumptrucks, triaxles, tractor trailers,u name it and maybe about 3 or 4 were off by 3 or 4 miles an hour.
I guess I've just been lucky the last 40 years and yes I know about the govt. standards, thats been out for years.

My odometer was off by about the same amount. 75 on my odometer corresponded with around 72 on radar and the same trend of about +4% shows up consistently on displayed radars in many different locations around the country. Even a nice hiway patrolman who informed me I was going 89 when I knew my speedo said 93 when he tagged me :-o First tires were 'Rugged Fails' and now I have Michelin LTX M/S2's and the same +4% trend.
