V6 Engine Cover Hole

    Why did they put a square hole on the passenger side of the engine cover. Only thing I can see thru there is a connector, which is easily accessible by taking the cover off.
    Am I missing something?

    do you have a cold air intake? if so it moved it, but with the stock intake I think that is right where the MAF sensor is

    No cold air intake, totally stock. I think it is over the MAF, but why would they engineer a hole over it when it is easily accessible? Dunno.
