5100's set at 1.75, 1.5 in. AAL, 265/75/16 Cooper ST tires.
I have a 2012 v6 dcsb TRD off road. I want to put some 5100 in the front to level it out but will they work the those springs or make the ride much worse. I've heard they would more than they do on the sport models since the front springs are different is this true? Would rather not have to buy new springs just in case they make the front sit up much higher I do not have the rear TSB so I have the 3 leaf pack

The 5100's will make your truck ride significantly better, as long as you don't jack the height setting all the way up.

While this is true and I cringe every time I see a thread like this pop up, this is an informational forum. It's better to remind the n00b about the search feature and then assist with their original question.

I've never uderstood posts like above?

why spend the effort posting "try searching", when one could as easily help the OP with answers/opinons? or...not post at all and allow others to assist the OP.

    either way

    btw, to the OP:
As I understand it, the off road front coils are "progressive" and the higher setting you set the 5100's the rougher the ride may be...with the 3-leaf pack rear, setting the front 5100's at 1.75 will probably give you the front end high not level stance (commonly called the "bro" look here)

Of course, many here will suggest new rear springs anyway. but, if you don't want the expense of front coils...I doubt you want the expense of rear springs. I'd set the front 5100's in your case at .85.

Keep in mind though, I'm no expert...and my set of four 5100's are still in the box in my garage. Also, the issue of "level" is subjective not mathmatic from info I have gathered here.

im looking at getting a set myself and have decided .875" would be perfect for me. i dont have trd but it should not matter right? as long as you dont set the coils so tight that your truck rides around at full downtravel the factory ride should be maintained, just a bit higher. until you start to reach full up-travel, and the coil finds itself more compressed than it was at factory, full-bump?

do i need to get more learned on suspension or does this sound logical?

Thanks for the replys I posted this from my phone at work friday night/ Saturday morning and was rough running toyota production and searching on the i phone so sorry if it bothered some that i ask a question others have asked. I was just curious about how the 5100's react to the progressive coils on the Off Roads. Thanks to everyone posting. Setting them at .85 sounds good to me, and im not into modding trucks really there only purpose is to get me to my hunting and shooting spots and my regular cab base model 07 4x4 did that just fine for me for years. So I don't really care for lifting it or putting AAL's in the back. I don't haul anything but deer back there. I have too many new guns I want to be spending my money on rather than suspension upgrades LOL I'm pure and simple just a gun whore I guess. Thanks to everyone posting.

I would recommend setting them at 1.75. If you don't and you are second guessing right now on what to, you will be kicking yourself 2 months down the road sayin I should of set it up one more notch.
