Spiral cable safety recall notice

Anyone going to take their 05 to 09 in to get the spiral cable in the steering wheel assembly checked out? I got the notice in the mail, I have an 08 PreRunner Dcab. I guess it should be looked at..........

 

A few months back my Tacoma wouldn't start. And it wouldn't jump either. No clue what happened. After an hour, I was able to jump it. Soon after, the SRS Airbag lights came on for both driver & passenger.
Took it to my regular shop who had no idea what happened either. They said the battery was shot and then had to reflash the computer.

I wonder if this was related? Or if I can get a refund somehow?

 

I have the same as you and have not received recall notice. Dealer won't fix unless air bag lights come on or I receive notice.

 

I think I might take mine in. I received the notice not too long ago, and coincidentally enough, about a week earlier I had noticed my driver side airbag light had come on while I was driving.

 

My airbag light had been on for about a year... Took it to the dealer in Killeen at 7:15 and it was ready around 1 pm that afternoon.
