Hi, All, Great community. Usually I can find the answers that I need here but need some specific help. I have a 2010 tacoma regular cab 4wd .This is my first Toyota product and I love it. I have about 41k on it and the tires are getting a little worn for winters here in New England. I work for an electric utility company so I need to get to work in all conditions at all hours, day or night, 2 feet of snow, downed trees, flooding, whatever the situation. I mainly drive secondary roads, maybe 5 times a year on the interstate. What should i buy for tires that will give me a little lift for deep puddles, tough enough to drive over downed branches, snowy, unplowed roads and the occasional dirt fire road. Again great site you all have built here, and thanks in advance for your expertise. -Mike

I just got the AT3's last month, I had BFG a/t's before these.

I think I like them, they have more wet and unloaded traction than the BFG's and they were cheaper.

As far as snow, I have no clue :notsure:

start researching all terrain tires OP, they should suit your needs

everyone will shout out the tires they're running and say theyre "the best!", but it's up to you to decide what suits your needs specifically.

    but with that aside

for an AT I'd recommend michelins LTX AT/2's. Great all around tire both on and offroad. Gripped wet way better than my MTs

The Cooper AT3 or Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs should work out fine.

    Too many to list
Duratrac's or Cooper Discover S/T Maxx. Duratrac's have great reviews, I had them on my 07 and they were indestructible.

RaceBannon, Look at "Tirerack.com". They compare all the tires and give you a lot of infomation to make an informed choice. My personal recommendation would be Michelin LTX A/T2s.

I assume your truck came with Dunlop GranTreks AT20s, so any other brand of tire is going to be a giant leap in quality.

X2. These have 3-ply sidewalls which has a lot to do with why I bought them for deep back country running. Good for driving over debris like you mentioned OP.
