I've searched and searched on this and have came up empty handed and more confused then I was originally. Seems all the info ive found goes against what i read in other posts.

Anyways, im going to be ordering a lift in the next month but want a full 3 inches as i plan to run 285s (with cab mount chop). Im looking at the ome kit with 885 springs and top plates and dakars in the rear. Im not worried about the rear as i know already what dakars give, but will the 885 with ome shocks get me 3 inchs?

My other option was the radflo package also with dakars mainly because they are adjustable, and rebuildable. But i've read so much about how great OME is I thought id go that route.

So for those of you who have OME with 885, are you getting a full 3 inch lift? I have a dcsb.

885s are 885s..................doesnt matter if you use 5100s or Nitros. The coils provide the lift not the shock. So his input is valid for your needs.

Check out this thread........885s with 1/2" spacer(supposed to give approx 3/4").......poster says he sits at 23.5" in front from hub to fender. We have the same exact truck and that is exactly 3" over my stock measurments.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/239666-my-3-inch-lift.html

Its an access cab but they are very close in length so it will be close.......at the very least yours is bigger so I'd say get the toytec spacer too to get that FULL 3 you want as I do.

    missed that
if its at zero its the same.....you can only go up to .85 on the 5100 with 885s. I missed the .85 part.

Everyone seems to get different numbers from ome lifts. I had the 885s with the 10mm top plate and didn't have a full 3". Probably closer to 2" by the time they settled. I would recommend the 13mm spacer.

do any of you have experience with the radflos? they are sounding appealing being adjustable, rebuildable and a good price. Are there any cons to them vs OME?

This seems to be the case.....gotta also consider stock sag before the lift is installed so they may gain 3+" from their stance but only because they were lower than stock height already. Its seems to me though that if you want a full 3" with 885s you need a 1/2" spacer atleast. I dont know if my stockers have sagged at all with 60k but that other guy with my truck sits at a perfect 3" over my current height with the 5100 and 1/2" spacer.
Curious as well......havent seen anyone post up about them. Im already committed to 885s and for my application it fits. But I have wondered about them too.

There were older 885 springs, now there is the 885x out. Supposed to not sag over time... That's what I have. Speaking of which, I really need to measure. I have the 13mm spacer

the newer OME springs are designated with an " x " , they are redesigned to not sag , my 885x coils haven't moved at all in a year and a half
