    i dont believe so, thats like a preference, just because someone has a few upgrades such as a new stereo deck does not increase the value,

    Alright. I'm trying to keep my mods reversible for this truck and not effect resell value.

    I would say to get a system if you don't mind spending the money. But a muffler swap is cheaper but harder because you have to weld it on and fix up some hangers, and the stock cat back pipe is 2.25".

    100! I don't think you will have to pay that much for one.... I bought one on TW for 40 bucks.

    I would recommend Borla since Borla has a plant in our community. On the other hand, just swapping mufflers to be louder is really a mall cruiser type of thing to do.

    On the other hand, my 68 dodge shortbed has headers and glass packs. It is tuned to match the stage 1 manifold and holley carb. However, it is NOT a daily driver.

    i know a very good exhaust guy, he runs new pipe from the CAt back, and welds in the muffler with a new tip, only charges like 40 bucks too

    But still it's not 100% correct fooling the O2. Removing the cats you loose all your low end and don't gain a thing on a N/A vehicle.

    So many different choices and opinions! I'm going to do just the muffler to save some cash.

    The basics, 5100s, 885s, weathertechs, Desert racing UCAs, wheelers progressive 3 leaf, icon rears, welded in magnaflow, ultragauge, drop in filter, bet mat, 285/75/16s
    I'll be welding on a straight through magnaflow in the next day or so. $78 for the same outcome makes sense to me over a cat back, but to each their own

    Looks like you have pretty much made up your mind on the wicked OP, but I have a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler swap. Had it for about a year and love it. Not too loud, but yet not quiet...no drone.

    Reason I chose what I did was from a write up by I believe Chris 4x4; anyway it explained that you got the most gain with hp, flow, and needed backpressure for our engine. I'm sure the thread is still on here somewhere. I have no complaints whats so ever.

    Video's on YouTube somewhere...

    My take on mufflers is very simple;
    For best performance, leave it stock.
    For best sound (quiet), leave it stock.

    Why pay good money to make it obnoxious/noisy?
