I have 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers w/no spacers. I still have mud flaps on. I will get minor rubbing on the front plastic only if turning and hitting a bump at the same time. I have aftermarket wheels but think the specs are close to stock. Also, I think the guy at the tire store told me that spacers would actually make the clearance worse?

I didn't have to trim too much with 2.5" lift and 35s...

Get an 9 inch lift an go with 33s. You should be fine.

35x12.5's maybe? I did have to bend the pinch weld. it was cutting my tires, I think it rubs the cab mount when im in reverse and turned super tight... I'm also roughly +4" per side....

Yes, he had the same stock wheels, same 3" toytec lift, same spacers. Only difference is his Nitto tires were Trail Grapplers which are more agressive so I thought they would be worse, not better. He had mud flaps, same basic rig. Yes. Did that research....

I've got 275/70r17 GoodYear Silent Armor tires, have like 8000 miles on them, they look new still. Great traction on road and off, wet or dry. No mud tire here tho... Great in sand, everywhere except that deep mud. All stock 2012 TRD Sport, no real rubbing, slight paint removal on UCA in reverse. Like these 32 inch tires I do.
