I saw this thread a few months back and I thought I wrote here. I think it looks awesome, I have only had the thought of matte white a few times and I think it looks great. Would love to see it in person. I want someone to do matte black so I can see what it looks like.... :spy:

Update on the wrap.. sorry it is so late, but unfortunately the wrap is no longer on the truck. It was on for about 9 months and was holding up surprisingly well. It was hand washed once a week during that time. The only issues I ran into was sold weather. Being in San Diego was not the problem, we made a trip up into the mountains and driving in snow, (25-35 degree weather) the wrap seemed a little brittle. Ice would build on the vinyl and got really dense. Afraid of scraping it off, I left it on and used hot water in places i needed it off. It all ended up melting off and the wrap wasn't affected at all..

Shortly after that the truck was keyed all down the cab and back of the bed in San Diego. I was forced to take it all off because it hit 3 different pieces of the truck. Replacing the pieces would have been different shades of the white. The white had faded a tad into a more matte finish. Pics to come. Hit me with any wearing or application questions!

Sad to see the wrap go! Look fantastic. Almost went with a Matte charcoal grey metallic, but ended up doing a matte black. Other than the keying and fading, how long would you have left the wrap on?

i was planning on leaving it on about 2 years or so. Ive seen wraps that have been on for about 4 years + start to take off factory paint. What is with extensive heat gun application but I will most likely do another wrap sometime in the future. How is the black treating you? I'd love to see some pictures

Black is ok. Gets a little extra dirty but that's to be expected.

You did good job on wrap, I hated the front bumper easy 6 hours. That's to bad you had to peel it. I like the idea of iPad mini, however I like the sound processing ability/subwoofer control of a aftermarket head unit. A posed to a 2 channel head phone output. Do you think you'd re-wrap a different color?

dang haven't been on the TacoWorld in forever! but I'm finally getting back to you. I actually had an audio control unit mounted right under the iPad that let me switch inputs so i was able to use the iPad and an aux while still controlling the bass and different levels, all powered with an iStreamer.

But yes on the re-wrap! I just got some samples of some brushed aluminum vinyl. Im looking at the aluminum and grey brush aluminum. Shootin for that raw metal look. Ill keep this thread updated with it. I'm pulling together some slush fund money to pull the trigger on the wrap 2.0! Love the military green by the way. I've seen some wranglers with the green, love it.
