Is this bad for the springs?

    Random question:

The dealer that I am talking to about a new Baja has the truck on display with the front passenger wheel hopped up on the curb in an effort to make it look rugged and eye catching. It's a standard curb, probably 6 or 8 inches high. The front suspension is flexed to one side.

Question, if a truck sits with its spring(s) compressed in one position for days or weeks on end, will that have any effect on the springs? Will it sit un-level due to a weakened spring? Or will it bounce right back to full extension?

    Just curious.

A couple weeks or even a month or so won't likely bother it. If you did that for months and months on end, not moving at all, then you might have some slight side effects. The anti-roll bar is what I'd be more concerned about though, the springs should be able to take it just fine.

As long as the springs aren't over compressed, then no, it won't hurt them.

Cool, thanks all. Wasn't sure if that would cause sagging or anything.
