you probably have mud caked inside your rims, making the wheels off balance.

Also after you spray the wheel off good, make sure your weights are still on the rims. I've seen em come off

This is a good point also. Even though the mud might be gone, it's possible you lost some wheel weights in the process.

this is why when I get a tire mounted:

    1) the weights go on the inside (no rim mounts)
    2) I dremel P1, P2, D1, D2 on each wheel (on the inside) and mark how much weight each took

In a perfect world where every rim and tire come off the manufacturing machine in perfect balance, you wouldn't need any weights at all.

As it happens, sometimes you get lucky and the whole thing is just perfect without weights. Rotate the tire 20 degrees on the rim though, and it could shake like a beast.

Just saying that maybe that wheel was perfect without weights. I wouldn't consider a lack of weights to indicate that something is wrong.

You can check the rim carefully -- the installation of weights always leaves marks on the rim. If there are no marks anywhere on the rim indicating that a weight was present, then a weight was never present.

FYI: other than wheel balance, you could have blown a bearing, a u-joint, or a CV joint. Those would also cause some pretty good shaking. Mud does not mix well with any of those.

I had the same thing. But I screwed a lot up when I did it. Blew up drivers side wheel bearing. Passenger side went out a month later. All four ball joints and drivers cv axle. :) hope it was just some mud in your wheel! You don't want to have to deal with all that I had too!
