I bought that vinal tint to tint my fog lights and it has shriveled up and has a ton of bubbles in them. Is the nightshade spray better? Or would I bet better to just buy new fog lights that are already tinted?

For the sake of the post, I'll assume he has them tinted yellow...

They probably got like that because the vinyl is made for tail lights which do not get as hot.

Taco - fog lights = less light output then taco + tinted fog light. Tinting your fogs isn't a big deal. Anyways he's looking for advice on how to tint his fog lights not that he shouldn't do it and will die if he does...

Try nightshade OP if you aren't afraid of screwing it up possibly but don't go too dark just smoke them. You can try a plasti derp called smoke too.

For reference I did my tails pretty dark but the led lights shine quite good, I would assume your fogs would end up similar to my reverse lights (most likely brighter but this is just to show you).

I've had cops check my lights so if you rear end me its your own fault. Maybe it's different there but if you run into the back of someone because you weren't paying attention or driving too close then you shouldn't try to weasel out of it. My lights are clearly visible and bright enough pictures don't give them justice.

I'm not saying I'd do it personally, but there are plenty of people out here in Cali that have been burned by this in the past. I got pulled over the first week I had them on my VW.

    Stock for now.
Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong omg. So you're telling the OP to smoke/darken his fogs? Never heard of that before for fogs...mainly because its retarded.

Assumimg OP is trying to tint his fogs yellow as that is the only logical tint for fogs. With the vinyl, its really hard to mess that up. I would make paper templates then cut the vinyl into shape. Use soapy on the fog so you can move the vinyl around if need. Use a hair dryer to help dry and adhere as you squeeze out the water with a blue shop towel.

Or use krylon transparent yellow glass paint. Still works well on plastic. Light coats of about 4 is good enough for me.

He asked about nightshade :/... I don't personally have tinted fogs because I like the light output but for mall crawling tacomas that want the murdered out look then nightshade would work, I'm just helping the OP not trying to tell him what to do or not to do.

I've never been a fan of yellow fogs on trucks, but there are yellow lightbulbs you can by as we'll as the yellow tint spray paint you can pick up at craft stores (I was going to try this method on my Mazda when I had it)
