how did you get the steering wheel emblem off??

I am currently looking for a junkyard that will sell me a blown airbag so I can take pictures and pull the steering wheel emblem off. I would love to paint my steering wheel emblem, but i'm afraid that I will blow my airbag.

 

Disconnect your positive battery terminal and no worries. Won't go off it it doesnt have power. Plus the likelyhood of it going off its like 1 in a million cause you arent near the electrical parts or the explosives.

 

How's everybody doing on this mod?

how do you take the AC ones out and the one that holds the AC controls? also tried messing with the chrome around the shifter but couldnt figure that one out either....

For the ac controls get a flat head screwdriver and pop out the square ish black pieces below the vents and take your fingers to pop them rest out.

For the shifter knob, just twist it off or get a flat head screw driver

 

The plastic pieces underneath the vents, usually where the switch is for 4x4 models, just pop those out then use your fingers and you can pop out the a/c panel, you can also do what TheSmash133 said. For the chrome ring around the shifter, unscrew your shift knob, then squeeze on the aft part of the console top and lift up and same up front and it'll pop off. To get the chrome ring off, use a lighter to melt the tabs on the under side and it'll come off, use a small flat tip with barely any pressure to help. To reattach it just use some guerilla glue or something.
