air conditioning fans squeaking help

for the last 6 months i have this sound from the ac that gets worse and worse when i run it. when the fans turn they squeak like eee eee eee eee eee and its really annoying. has to be from the ac fan blades rotating because the faster it squeaks the higher i run the ac. coming up on 3 yrs on my truck and i think ac isnt covered after that on warranty, am i correct? so wondering if i should take in or is this an easy do it yourself fix? thanks

 

take it to your dealer before warranty runs out. theyll replace the motor free under a tsb

I assume this sound you speak of is the infamous chirp from the blower motor. There is a NEW replacement blower motor as of 2012. I bought the new one from ebay for $119 with free shipping. Installed in minutes and the cabin is as quiet as can be at any blower speed setting.

 

So I just dropped it off at the stealership and they said they have to charge me 55$ to look at it and then see if its under warranty and then if it is they would take off the charges?! I told them the ac just started squeaking after 2years why would it not be under warranty?! It's only the far right side fan. Like a really high pitch whirring squeak. Anyone know what exact repair I might be looking at or part of the warranty that says this stuff is covered? Thanks

 

My '11 had the same chirp. Took to dealership, they didn't even come out to inspect the problem. They are aware of the TSB so I made an appointment, they replaced blower motor under warranty. No questions asked & no chirp now.

 

What is the tsb? Blower motor?
