Has anyone tried a Ion Generator in your car/truck to clean up the air. I park my truck in a dusty and sooty part of E. LA right next to two rail hubs. I do clean and get new cabin air filters a lot.

I have seen some cheap ones on line but you can not clean them. This one you can clean just like a home use one.

If you have tried something like this your input would be helpful.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
When you positively charge the air, the dust sticks to the negatively charged truck. This means that the truck is still dirty. Don't bother with an ion generator.

All ionizers produce at least some ozone, a good one will produce only trace amounts, I would definitely not cheap out on this as ozone will destroy a car interior.

As far as working or not, I have absolutely no idea.
