I have a sport access cab but I don't owe anything close to that on mine. Actually a didn't pay much more than what you owe. Good luck getting rid of it. Shouldn't be terribly hard

I would say you could get what you owe out of it. I would go on craigslist and see what similar vehicles are going for

    - Look at what trucks with similar age/milage are selling for in the ads and Craigslist.

    - Get the windshield replaced before listing. It will devalue the truck more than what it would cost to replace it (less than $200).

You can talk to bank etc. that owns the note and see if they would be willing to renegotiate the loan. Or, see if you can find some one to take over the payments. If you go this route, make sure that you go through your bank, don't just hand the keys over and "trust" the other party to make the payments. I did this when I bought a F-150 and was able to take over a 0% loan.

I took my 2011 w/16k on it in for the 15k service and they offered me 28,600 for a trade in to "upgrade" to a redesigned front end or 4runner... I've got some mods but I'd say you can get it for what you owe

My first thought when I saw this thread title was that your jack stands had failed.

Lol. What a great thought process that would be. Truck falls on you and traps you. Luckily you can reach your phone. Most would call 911. But obviously posting on TW would yield a quicker rescue.

Exactly. Have you seen how quickly people get responses with an off-road rescue thread?

Shouldnt be an issue, when I bought my truck used about a year ago they had several on the lot that were older than yours and with more miles listed for a couple grand over what you need. Granted that is what they were asking not getting, but a truck listed for 29,500 could easily sell for 26,500.

    Best of luck.

I was thinking he was snacking too much while working on it.:D

It would sell here in less than 5 minutes at that price, but everthing is overpriced here. Compare to other similar trucks in your area, you should get a good idea, just don't compare to anything thats been for sale for a long time, that means its overpriced.
