I just got some sliders from Beefed Taco on my 2012 DBL Cab Long Bed. I need to get these thing coated. I am thinking of going with this Rustoleum texture paint cause I need some kind of grip during the winter months. I am looking at Rustoleum Hammered or Rustoleum Texture spray paint. any other suggestions?

I would prime/paint and use some grip tape where you need it.

Does any onewho lives in snow areas do the bed liner stuff? I have to deal with snow and want it to be grippy not slippery.

I would 2nd the primer/ paint of your choice, then place grip tape on the tread area. Even textured paint till wear smooth from boots. The grip tape can be removed and a new piece replaced when/if it wears out.

Or consider adding a silica sand to a brush on paint?

ARB front, All Pro rear, Hella's, Trail Gear sliders - welded on, 3" Sway-A-Way front & rear suspension, front mud flaps -gone.
On my Trail-Gear sliders I did a coat of POR-15 and then a coat of spray on bedliner. Then I used grip tape for all passenger areas.

I run no front mud flaps and therefore the gravel roads / mud at my farm has worn thru it all and it is rusting (surface).

Just my FYI. It will get a sand down and re-coat (without POR) when I get around to it.

    Good Luck

    TRD skid painted black,

This is the way to go if you plan on using them on rocks.
This way they are easy to touch up when you scrape them.

set em up on two saw horses, clean them off with some mineral spirits or something like that, then hit them with as many coats of primer as you can get from 3 cans, then hit them with *light* (it will run and is a bitch to sand) coats of bed liner. let the coats dry and you will be set!

It doesn't matter what you put on them. Once ice or snow build up they will be slippery. The only thing that works and lasts that I have found are polyethylene door mats. Cut them into strips wide enough to wrap a bit and hold them on with hose clamps. They come in a number of colors. This is the material I'm talking about:

    http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_...01&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=33-93064478-2

I rivet it onto things like steps or anywhere I need solid footing in icey weather. The hose clamps every 6 inches or so work better on tubing. Ice and snow do not stick to it, so even if some builds up, one wipe with your foot and it comes off. The stuff lasts forever.

It doesn't look as spiffy as some of the other ideas, but it looks pretty good when you get tired of landing on your ass.

I used spray on dupi coat bedliner from Advanced Auto, like 12 bucks a can.
I first sanded them with 100 grit, cleaned them with water and soap, then with lacquer thinner. Then primed them with dupi metal primer, then sprayed on the bedliner. followed the directions on the can for time between layers. I did six layers and allowed 72 hours for last layer to cure. The spay on liner has held up great, just make sure it fully cures before you touch it. Took about 6 cans total (I am sure I over did it). Total job cost ~ 70 bucks vs 300 to get them powder coated.

This isn't a bad idea either. Removable for non ice season. Probably ugly like you said, but who cares as long as you aren't slipping off the tube and ending up underneath the truck...... damn that sucked.
