do any of yall have the link for that? the video i seen was talking about bending one of the legs on a relay and just attaching a wire to that and carrying it over to another fuse, tried it and the fog lights wouldnt even come on.

used the bottom right hole in the empty relay... i just used some 16 gauge wire i had laying around and soldered it to a 10amp fuse.. added some heat shrink.. and plugged it in. fog's shut off when the key shuts off.. i can use them all the time or none of the time. they come on with parks, DRL, low beam, or high beam.

the OP needs to check and make sure the relay location to the right of the fog location is populated with contacts before this will work....

I take it the 10amp is just to protect the main from going in the event of a surge of some kind? The pin just need a contact point on the harness to complete the circuit type thing? Will the dealer freak if they see this? This Taco is our first new car and we have no experience with scheduled Toyota care services. Glad to be here. Hi. :D

I just completed this mod and I was unable to use the method above. I had to use the other method listed in the link the other posted linked. I did have my fog relay in the same place, I just didnt have the seat heater option where the plug next to the fog relay would be wired. So I had to run the jumper over to the other fuse box to the "towing tail" relay what ever that means. I just did like the other link said and it worked. LOL Thanks to all for all the info here!

If you and me were both smart we should had just hooked up two spade style female connectors to the fuse connector point of our little setup. I just did mine a little while ago and similar to a job I did like this a couple days ago we would had been way better off like that. Since the fuse should at some point be removable if it pops we will need to make a totally new setup or solder the old one off.

I will overhaul my jumper design using females eventually here (of course with some shrink wrap on the exposed metal to prevent shortage) but for now I am very pleased with the little bits of parts I had and how I was still able to make it work exactly how it was supposed to.
