I agree, but, I keep the ball hitch on there so I know when I'm back far enough

I lived in DC and parking on the street was fine in my access cab, but parking in garages was a nightmare. The spots were never long enough. With a DCLB I would guess you'd have problems sticking out in a lot of parking garages. I even had a garage by my work that would turn me away because my truck was too long.

Okay...I know it's not DC or anything but here in Marietta, GA, there is some crappy parking. Right off the square is a parking garage ...with compact spaces. I got in a compact space with cars on either side. In my DCLB.

You put a DCSB in a space that is marked "compact" in a DC public garage and they will ticket you, then tow you a little while later. Its not the width they are worried about, its the length. Ask me how I learned this valuable lesson!:D

 compact deals with the LENGTH of the vehicle.

I see full size pickups parked in them in garages and they take up half the driving lane  stupid people

    working on it...
I have a 2012 DCLB, parking isn't a problem per say... It just involves a bit more thinking and strategy to avoid door dings and precarious parking. I just put a little more effort into finding an out of the way spot that can be backed into. Backing in is definitely the key...

There are lots in know that simply suck balls because the spaces are too narrow, unless I can pull through two at once I usually park where the truck comfortably fits. In places like SF and bezerkeley, finding 30 foot long spaces to park in is very difficult.

Parking a DCLB and parking a DCSB is essentially the same

Just drive around the block 2 or 3 times until you find 2 spaces open back-to-back and then you have lots of room! "City" near me has like 6000 people lol lots of open spaces!
