Homemade Rock Sliders - Update #2 on Page 2

Decided to finally start these things today because I'm going to Rausch Creek next weekend with a couple members here on the forum. I went with 3/16" 2x2 box steel. Still have some more work to do like cap the ends and mount them to the frame but here's some pics.

Thanks guys, yea they arent the lightest. I was gonna go with 1/8" but was talked out of it. Its about 36' of 3/16" steel. Pretty heavy.

Yeah mine are 1.75" .120 wall square tube, haven't managed to bend them yet.

Thanks, just mig. I didnt see any reason to go through all the trouble of using the tig welder. Mig is just fine for this kind of work.
