OK, had a thread like this on another forum, didn't see one here so I figured I'd give it a spin. Since I've only had my '05 2.7l 5spd prerunner access cab a week now, I'll recap that & what I did yesterday to get current......First, paid for truck outright & scored the all weather factory mats from the salesman. Already had 18" Hot Wheel blk/polished rims with 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Got yota hitch cap, extra oem tiedown cleats, oem tacoma keychain. Ordered oem yellow fog light kit, tailgate lock, x bound blk/gray hardcore canvas waterproof seat covers, in-channel ventguards, K&N HP-1002 oil filter, AFE drop-in air filter & probably a couple of other things. Have done battery tiedown tightening with actual wrench so it stays put & tightened drvr side mirror(yes, already have had door panel/sail panel off) which brings us to yesterday - did the decharcoalization of the air intake box...removed 2nd filter. Next item of interest will be the variable intermittent wiper stalk mod. So....what you guys/gals doin to your rides? Post up.................

Hey, commute happens. Even leaving it snug as a bug in it's garage space & driving the car counts too but I didn't do that. Cars gonna have to get used to it's new weekender status(if I'm not in the truck then too) It's all good, post on up.lol...........Maybe the mods can sticky it too so it'll get more hits. I know people are out there doin stuff all the time.

I bought them direct from N-Fab, 3" main tube, wheel to wheel, painted speedway blue. Price was $580... :D

$580! That is kind of pricey!!! They look really nice though! What was the website? I'm going to see how much they cost just for the standard black ones in a 3".

    A few bolts are different.
IMO $580 is good considering the paint match:thumbsup:

Well I never knew what they ran price wise anyways. But your probably right with the color match and all! I'm thinking about getting some as well but just in their standard black. I wonder if it's a direct bolt-on kit?

I added intermittent wipers. The two speed orignals sucked.

There are factory threaded nuts up under there for the factory running boards. I'm pretty sure they just bolt right up to that.

Nothing yet...but I will be driving it in about an hour :D

She does need a bath though so I may give her a thorough cleaning before the next storm rolls in. That mag-chloride does a number on the paint, rims, bumpers, under side, everything!

I added a bike rack this morning. I was looking at the Toyota rack that fits into the bed rails, but I had a generic bike tight from another pick-up that I just bolted into the rail, like this:

This rack cost me $12 several months ago, whereas I would have had to fork out over $50 for the Toyota one.

I stole this idea from a poster here. One day in and this forum already saved me nearly $30. Woohoo.

It only took about 15 minutes. Most of that time was spent searching for the right sized washers and bolts.
