I bought something here on the for sale section and the seller stated that he would ship me a broken part that he forgot to disclose in his sales post. He stated that the company was shipping him a new one and he'd forward it along. Sounded fishy to me, so I set up the seller with a labeled box for USPS shipping, all the seller had to do was put the new bracket in the box and send. I have left him 4 PMs 2 emails and his response was sorry I've been busy at work, well who isn't busy at work? We all have cell phones and ways of being in touch those days of using that for an excuse is a blow off.

    What should I do?

    Thanks

I'm not going to exploit him publicly until I feel I have exhausted all avenues, which I'm almost there, it just is so un cool not to reply to people these days and even un cooler not to post all known facts in your ad! I know you should shop the seller and not the product but his post count was higher than newbie status

You don't have to say it publicly, (even though that would avoid any of the rest of us from possibly getting ripped off) but I think Chris 4.4 is asking because he's a mod here and might have a bit of persuasion in regards to assisting you.

Yeah that's all fine and good but by letting the rest of us know who he is could help weed out a member who could potentially screw other members here. If this member is that bad, the mods could kick him off the site.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with a deal gone bad. This is why when I became a member here I asked around for a way to leave feedback on members who I sold to or purchased from. I think something simple like a rating scale under the user name on the left side that would link to a feedback page under the user profile would be sufficient. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, I was provided a link to the feedback thread but it is almost useless since you have to hunt for it and it is not directly located on the member pane for each post. Further, I left feedback for some good guys I have dealt with on TW but I see no way to determine a total of good and bad feedback with the thread I used. If there is something in place that I am not aware of, please let me know.

He has nothing for sale at this time, if by Wednesday I don't hear from him ill post it. He got a hold of me today saying he's busy and they are out of stock but I know otherwise about the part, it's readily available as I called and asked.

Ill pm a mod from here about it soon.

I left him a proposal regarding this with a back door for him to take to make all this go away. It's not a major deal but when somebody says they will do something, at the end of the day we are only worth our word.

    Thanks men
