I went to buy disc brake pads for the front of my 2000 Tacoma and they needed to know the size of my rear drums! WTH! Short of removing the wheel and measuring, is there some way to tell if my rear drums are 9" or 10"?

Sounds stupid to me. The rear drums have nothing to do with the front pads. They should be able to get your pads Just by the year and model.

Reviving an old thread instead of making a new one. Same thing happened to me today, they need to know the rear size so I couldn't buy the front. Anyone know the rear size?

The brake pads for your truck have nothing to do with the rears drums. Your parts dealer is an idiot. Looked them up at Autozone.com:

    Duralast
Part Number: MKD799 for regular Pads.
Part Number: DG799 for Gold Pads
    Part Number: DGC799 for GoldCmax.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Yeh really... unrelated. I had a guy at Advanced Auto ask me the application for a power antenna once, I was installing it on my hotrod. He INSISTED that I tell him what it was going to be mounted on for fitment purposes. I kept telling him that it doesn't matter but he wasn't giving up. When I said a 1953 Ford F100 with a cab mounted and frenched antenna, he then had a bewildered look and said, ahhhh, OK. Some parts people you just can't get through to.
