Seat belts

I have a dbl cab 4 x 4 and the rear seat belts ( female end ) is not stiff enough to allow the seat belt to be pushed in.
Before we go off on the sexual inuendos my 5 year old in the booster seat
cannot connect the two together and get them to click.
The female part has just the cloth seat belt material but no backing to make it stiffer. Any ideas? Have to climb over top to buckle the seat belts.
Its a real pain in the ass.

Are you sure you got the ride sides matched up?

Passenger side male to passenger side female etc?

I know on my husbands Acura, they won't click in unless they're matched.

I think he's saying that the fabric is not stiff enough to hold up the female end, making it difficult for the child to do up with one hand....

Perhaps you could visit a junkyard, and get some of the plastic casing that some other vehicles have...

Sorry they click together, but the female end is so limp that you have to hold onto it in one hand and then bring the belt accross and click it together. All while leaning accross my son and the booster seat. Its a stretch for me and Iam 6ft and I have to stand on my tip toes to get the 2 ends to meet and click. Its a pain.

Seat belt

I was thinking about that, I understand why they made them like that so that they fold flat when lowering the seats.
I thought about attaching it some way to the childs seat so it offers alittle resistance when clicking it in.
I can live with it but my wife is shorter and has to climb onto the door sill and she hates it. I have some lund running boards to put on in the interm.
