As a We all know the bf goodfails suck ass!But as I have a TRD sport with the stock Dunlops (which can't be much better). Ive notices that with on 6000 mile on the they are starting the chunk out already It's concerning I really drive pretty easy on the on the road, which is 90% of the time. In the of occasion I do onto off road its on mild forest service road and if they happen to spin going up up a steep hill I just back down and go a different route.

My question is, is this normal. Are they just a really soft compound as to reduce road noise when a potential buyer is test driving???

And input for any one with similar experience would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for all the help TW ROCK!!!

They chunk offroad... and past 50% treadlife they lose alot of wet traction. This is just my experience tho

Sounds like you have the same tires I had. I figured mine where going to maybe get 13-15,000 miles. They are crap tires.

I ended up getting the goodyear duratrax. Much better tire. But even they have chunked out a little on the off road. But for the snow they are a world of difference.

In all seriousness OP , the Dunlops are pretty shitty tires for anything but dry pavement above freezing

Thanks for all the quick responses guys, it a shame toyota cant warranty a tire capable of mild off roading that'll last longer then10000/ 15000k. But I guess if that's my only compliant this far I can deal. My only concern is wen I go into get the 1000 mile maintenance and the totals the tire and try to use it to void my warranty. But I'll raise he'll like they've never seen before. I've been know to get real with dealership lol

Haha! I may or may not have had a few adult beverages lastnight when I was on TW...

Either way what I was trying to say is I'm worried that they will see how bad the tires are after so little miles that they would assume I've been beating on the truck and therefor may cause problems down it road if there are and drivetrain issues that are covered under warranty. Thinking that I've abusing the shit out of the truck. Which is far from the truth. As this is my first brand new vehicle and I know how the stealerships try every tactics to not cover things under warranty

Tire wear will not effect your other warranty coverages
