rear view mirror

my 08' has only one flaw for as far i can tell, the rear view mirror its not meant for people over 6-3". it seems like the mirror is always in the way when you wanna see outta the right side.is anyone else having this problem?

 

Yeah, seems kinds low for me too, but I adjusted it as high as it would go and now seems manageable

 

does the double cab have more room then the access cab where you could see under it more

 

I doubt it. When I sit prettty upright though I just peek under it.

 

that sucks, when im driving down the road i cant see the whole right side of the road

 

Hmm...I guess another option for you is to remove the rearview mirror mounting bracket, and then re-glue it up higher.

 

or just get another truck like sierra, f150 or tundra

I would drop my seat/ re-glue the mirror before that! but to each their own.

 

if ya take a look behind the rear view theres a black oval and if i take and remove it, its still gonna have the black spot right?

 

Hmm.... Don't know about that one, i guess i haven't looked that much on mine.

 

You guys could always get a neckyotamy

that's where they cut a chunk out of your neck to make you shorter...

i'm 6'5" and have a problem with the mirror! at my seating position it pretty much blocks all of my view of the right side! looked at moving it up but dont know about the black dot. the mirror has a telescopic arm on it so i assume it can be adjusted but that black dot.....

 

This solution helps...doesn't work if you have the Gentex mirror

You could just buy a new aftermarket one! I've seen one with a built-in GPS unit on the mirror. You'd be the talk of the site!!!

 

I gotta Nuvi, I don't need no stinkin' GPS in the mirror.
