So, my landlord, a week before I moved out, decided to back into my vehicle and damage the bumper....pretty good. It is tweaked pretty good, dented, and scratched. He has told me, "I will pay out of pocket if I have to." So, if I go get an estimate from a reputable body shop, and they decide to replace the bumper, which I'm sure they will, should I just get a tube bumper? How much does a new bumper run at a stealership Vs. getting a tube bumper? I plan on installing it myself btw. I like the look and styling of a tube bumper over the plated ones
    Thanks guys.

    Too many to list now.
I might be able to help you out. We're putting together a local GB for some things and may be able to add you a bumper onto our pallet of goodies.

    .
Take him the estimate, you might want to get another one too, bring it to him, tell him you'll be a nice guy and not get an estimate from the dealership and ask him to cut you a check, to you, not the shop, if he wants it off of his insurance it will be worth it to him. What is the amount from the shop, should be able to swing something nicer.

LOL I see what you did there. Start off with the "Landlord backing into your vehicle story" then just move on to "Should I get a tube bumper?"

LOL, I was thinking the same thing...not where I thought the story was headed towards. I really don't think the landlord "decided" to back into the truck...lol.

I would get a couple estimates, then present them to your landlord. He can then pay you, and if its enough to cover a tube bumper, and even your time to replace, you're set. If not, you pay the difference, and have what you want. Simple, no? If he won't pay, then things get more complicated.
