Just wrecked my '08 TRD Sport DCSB in Silver Streak Mica and am breathing new car smells in my new '13 TRD Sport DCSB in Silver Streak Mica. I love how exciting the Tacoma continues to be and the paint is my choice because of how well it hides the marks of life and work and play (at least from a distance...)

I am 2011, but there are tons of 2012 guys on the board, starting to see a few 2013's popping up. Most common year of truck I see on here are between 05-08 it seems like.

Of course it's perception.
2nd Gen runs 2005 to 2013.
Even if the membership equally represented each year, that would be:

90,000, 45,000 1st Gen, 45,000 2nd Gen.
45,000 / 8 years = 5625 owners of each year.
45,000 1st Gen
5625 * 6 = 33,750 '05-'11
5625 * 2 = 11,250 '12-'13
37.5% membership owns '05/'11
12.5% membership owns '12/'13

And that's assuming equal numbers for '13 as all other years. Knock that 12.5% down to around 8% since we're only 2 months into the production year.

PLUS.... The economy has been in the shitter for the last 5 years...

Frankly, I'm surprised there are as many '12/'13 as there are.

I didn't think that there would be more 2012/2013 than anything else...I thought it would be fairly equal or less...so, I am surprised as well.

Well... of course my post was assuming that each year would be represented equally. That is of course not the case, and I would be surprised not to see the more recent years more represented as people typically tend to trade in vehicles every 3-4 years. Some 2013 owners may be on their 3rd 2nd Gen.

A bit surprising that we're showing 20% 2012, but...
Newer owners are going to gravitate toward online forums, and the typical "attention span" for users on internet forums is 3 years (read that about 4 years ago, might be different now) unless they become a high-profile "fixture" member.
