Owned a 2011 TRD Off-Road 4x4 DCSB and now a 2013 TRD Sport 4x4 DCLB. I know that the OR was a short bed and that the Sport is a long bed, but I think that they are pretty similar if you get the same body styles...I didn't need the Locker, and liked the look of no chrome, so I went with the Sport the second time around.

    Off Road
    -OEM tires suck
-Smoother ride off road (progressive springs rather than Linear of the sport...)
-Constantly trying to get rid of chrome...
-Had locker, but in all that I did, I never NEEDED it..
    -A-Trac was fun...

    Sport
    -OEM tires suck
-Smoother ride on the highway (combination of tires, long bed, and Linear springs...)
-Color matched looks better than chrome
-No locker, but still wish I had it for the simple fact of ease of mind.
-No A-Trac - Haven't heard from DavidK in FOREVER...

My basic explanation of the two is if you intend to use your truck OFF ROAD to the fullest of its capabilities and dont want to do anything aftermarket, go TRD Off Road. If you are a weekend warrior like me, but use the truck as a daily driver, go with the Sport...It will get anywhere that the Off road will, and if not, you can always add lockers...

I have an OR and my GF has a Sport. Both trucks are pretty much the same, except i have a locker and she doesnt, which has proven to be a BIG difference at times. Also her hood scoop is blinding, but the color matched trims look really good.

haha...almost forgot...the hood scoop is blinding at times, but only if you are at the perfect angle...just like driving into the sun...

I got 09 sport double cab, short bed, auto. Flipped on it, got totalled. Got my money and went back to dealership.
Got 09 off road double cab, auto, sb, haven't totalled it, hopefully I won't. I have spent some cash on it.

For looks. Sport... for anything else, off road.

    I had an 05 OR. Now I have a 12 Sport.

I prefer the sport. Chicks dig skewpz. That's what my wife says, anyway.

Get what you want, they're both good trucks.

-the Bridgestone's that came on my 2012 Sport are actually quite nice.
-my 2012 Sport is a short bed. ride may be slightly better than my 2010 SR5, but that's probably the Bridgestone's over the Dunlap's. :notsure:

I had an 07 Sport access cab and now I have a 11 DC OR. I am not a fan of the hood scoop :spy: ....Please dont shoot me but I do like the looks of the body painted grille, bumper and mirrors. Not a big fan of chrome but a little short of funds right now. I like the wheels on my sport over the OR but thats just my opinion. If I had to do it over again, I would have went with the Sport over my OR. My truck is more farm use than serious off roading.

    Heres what mine looked like.
