I just ordered and installed a new Access tonneau cover. Much to my surprise when I unpacked it there was a separate sheet of instructions indicating the clamps are no longer being used. The side rails are held in place by removing the track/rail which support the bed cleats. The side rails then goes between the side of the truck bed and the bed cleat track. The kit has longer bolts and spacers to hold the bed cleat track and Access side rail the the truck bed. I personally think it makes for a more secure and permenate installation. The rest of the installation is the same as the past. I didn't have to mess with the tension wheels as the cover was just right on tightness. Once I laid out the parts, tools, read the instructions:confused: and watched a couple of Youtubes it took 45 minutes start to finish.:D

Here is a link where I bought it. You'll notice they still show the clamps, so the change away from clamps must really be new. Not having the clamps in the way will also allow easier use of the tie down cleats. It got dark and I didn't get pictures, I'll add them tomorrow.

I just assumed it was new because the instructions told how to install the clamps and the parts list had clamps listed?

I'm glad to hear you bought another one, kind of tells me the Access Roll-up's must be pretty good.
