In my truck it turns on when the outside temp. is below 0 degrees celcius..

Don't know why yours is on at 37 F.

It is the 'icy road warning'...basically when its below a certain temp (havent experienced it yet, i live in the Valley) your mirror warns you when the roads are potentially icy.

Won't bother getting it checked. I think I can tell if it is icy out. Just another dummy light I reckon.

Totally off topic, and not meant to be a dig really, but I think its interesting how some people will put their location as (for example) "the valley" as if the average person would have any idea which valley you are talking about. Again, nothing personal, just something I have noticed. It is not only "the valley" by the way. I've seen other such ambiguous locations such as "the ridge" or "the banks".

    4 C = 39.2 F

My snowflake light came on at 40 degrees F. I just think it is cool to have warning lights on my rear view mirror. Who cares if it is working correctly or not. hah!

If you dig into the menu of the mirror, you can disable it. No more snowflake!

As far as the light, Play with the settings, there's a way to turn it off.

It displays on mine when I get past the ridge and into the valley just over the hills around the bend. You would think it would get colder in the bluffs but sometimes it gets as cold as it does down the pass...and I'm an ass ha ha.

But really, mine comes on at around 37 degrees F. I think it's good to know because the temps can change quickly on the routes I travel and the time of day I am on the road. I think it's a good heads up.

Mine comes on around 37 degrees. But, I think the temperature has to drop to that point while it is on. It isn't on when I turn the truck on and its 30 degrees, but will turn on if I am driving and the temp drops from 40 to 37.
