Nah, he beefed up the mounts and those angles, because those parts have to support the entire weight of the bar... which only weights about 60 or 70lbs, which some may say makes it sound like it is weak. But like i said earlier, a 235 pound dude stood on it, and it did not flex.

But hey.... guys i'm just here to show what i got... an idea that became reality, and something that i am proud of. Hate or like it if you want.... your opinion is your opinion. Thats cool.

I am not here to make enemies. Tacomas make us family and friends. I respect everyone here and dig seeing what others do to make their trucks different.

Not knocking your bar at all. Just saying since the 45s at the bottom are not a single rolled piece that will be your weak point if you were to hit a deer or something.

Maybe, maybe not. I see what you're saying, hopefully I won't have to find out.

To real about it though.... there is no (normal, sold for general off road vehicles) bar/bumper out there that is completely indestructible. Everything has a weak spot no matter how much one tries to beef it up... The laws of Physics.... which i'm not getting into.

I'm done discussing this. It is what it is. respect to all of you guys.

I went from an aries bullbar to an Avid light bar and absolutely love the Avid. Get lots of compliments because of the unique-ness

Mine came with a bull bar, but I'm likely to swap it for an Avid in the near future.

What is your light bar set up? How much was it? What kind of lights did you mount? Was it a DIY project?

I've always liked that bar but hate the idea of having to drill holes in the bumper.

agreed. bumper looks damn good; especially if your truck already has a lift or LT set up....but drilling into a completely good factory bumper puts a sour taste in my mouth. just my $.02 tho.

im leaning towards mounting a 30" led bar behind my bumper grille.
