    +1 The Avid Light bar is the best compromise (in my opinion) between keeping stock components and going full plate bumper. It also offers pretty good protection from impact damage and the price is right.

    Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
    Of course, you can always put lights on a bull bar. Personally, I have neither. Instead, I have a nice winch on the front of my truck.

    I have an Aries bull bar.... but I personally wouldn't go that route again. Although, mine might look better if I gave it a paint job (it's probably 4 years old). Just haven't had time.....

    I've had a WAAG Brush Guard on my 96 tacoma which was eventually taken off for a TJM bumper.

    Take your pick.... It's a matter of what you need and what looks good to you.

    Can't mount a winch on a light bar and if I'm going to put a cage around my bumper I might as well put a real bumper on the truck. Different strokes and all that.

    Why are you getting rid of both? The light bar looks good. I would install that one upside down somehow so those lights did not interfere with my behind the grill PIAAs that I have now. That would look good!!!

    I wish I could get a light bar that looks like this one. The lights look great in front of the grill... All I see for '12's are lower one's that place the lights in front of the bumper.
