So I test drove an automatic this past weekend. It felt like a slug. Anybody know if the 5 speed is any better?

From all the reviews I have read on here, the 5 speed MT is a much better match with the 2.7L due to the extra gear and added control over the driveability.

The truck just felt so heavy with the auto. There's no 5 speed 4x4 single cab near me test drive.

Also I was looking at some plastic smog type device that sucks air. It was right below the air box. I heard it was new for 2012-2013 but might just be a California thing.

I've had both a v6 auto and a 4cyl stick. I love the 2.7L and it has plenty of power for DD and I get 21+mpg. I can't speak for the 2.7L auto though.

I've not a boat owner yet but I have contemplated it. I only posted the ones that are street drivable. I have dirt bikes as well. It's kind'a been an obsession having lots of vehicles though there's only a couple I wished I held on to.
