Fog Light Dash Switch

I know there have been other thread discussions on this, but was never sure if the discussions addressed the existing fog light switch ('06 model). Here is my question: The existing switch lights up when depressed, but it also is lit up when the lights are on but it is not depressed. Consequently, I am never quite sure if my fog lights are on or off just by looking at the switch quickly while driving. Can the switch be made to not light up when it is not depressed, even if the truck lights are on?

 

Well on mine(ours should be the same), the fogs lights cannot come on without the headlights on. So even if it is depressed and my headlights are off, the fogs are off as well. I just leave the fog light switch depressed. that way whenever i turn my lights on, the fogs will be on. Whenever my lights are off, the fogs are off.

I know there is a mod to switch it where you can have the fogs come on without the headlights....but that is up to you.

hmmmm...pretty involved mod, thanks harshest. I may stay with what I have.
