    Hi Guys,

I've looked around a lot at the BFG T/A KO tire.

I'm about to order them and want to be sure that a 265/70/r17 tire won't rub on a stock Pre-Runner.

    I have my mudflaps removed.

    Thank you

I just want more confirmation before I spend almost 1K.

It seems like almost everything I've seen says that 265/70/r17 won't rub. But then I see that one post that says they do rub on his truck. I think that any rubbing issues on that size are on the front mud flaps.

I know someone with no flaps, 265/70/17 and rubs. They have aftermarket wheels. I think if you run stock wheels or aftermarket with similar back spacing you should be fine. Fwiw, I ran 265/70/17 on stock sport wheels with no rub (BFG TA KO)

I have aftermarket wheels and 265/70/17 tires. I rub a little on the front bumper flap when turning.

I ran ProComp 7089's with 4.5" backspacing on 265/70/17 Duratracs and only rubbed where the mud flap stuck out a bit...

Yeah, I rubbed on that flap also. Two quick bolts and they were gone. No more rubbing.

Most of the instances of rubbing I've heard of with 265/70/17s at stock height are with 9" wheels and 4.5" of BS, because those wheels stick out ~3" more than stock.

I have that exact tire. I had a leeeetle tiny itty bitty bit of rubbing when they were brand new. I had to be a full lock and fully stuffed, but there it was. They don't rub anymore now that I have about 5k miles on them.

I wouldn't expect that you'll have real trouble with that tire.

I have same truck as you but mine is a short bed. My tires have no rubbing issues at all. But they are definitely heavier than my stock bridge stones that were on the truck prior.
