Lots of good comments and similar thoughts. My 5 lugger is a great Taco and I really like it. It's had an unfortunate life with being stolen and partially stripped and having a tow motor bang into the front of it. I'll post the story of it's life in another thread. Now that I've been driving it a while I really like it and thought how nice it would be to a new Taco with 4WD, 6 lugs and some other accessories. Since it's paid for I'm going to drive and enjoy it. Maybe a new one later.

I bought my '05 last year with less than 12,000 miles on it. It has all the bells and whistles of '05 plus a bunch of mods done by the previous owner:D Was in amazing shape. I've been rough on her though...:D haha

To answer OP's original question...new things are always nice, but I have everything I need in my 07 Sport and it does not make financially sense to me to trade in for a new one right now, so I guess no for me.

^ This. Only have about six months to go and then hopefully many years of no payments and basic maintanance. Personally I'm more than happy with my 07 Sport. To be honest I don't want any more technology in my truck than it already has. I can think of less actually, like TPMS for starters.

May have to look into that when the day comes to hopefully get a better deal than last time. Also may not be for a Tacoma, will see whats out there by then.

Yeah my truck is still new well at least to me , I've only had it for two years lol ...I'd love a 2013 or next generation model though ..or if I could do it over I'd go with a 4 cylinder 4x4 access just cause fuel doesn't seem to be going down but I can't complain I like my truck despite the bad luck I've been having with it. At 99000 I hope I can have it running well into 150000, which is about the mileage I keep a vehicle until. I do feel like I need start doing tunes up like plugs and rear differential..idk what the previous did to the vehicle for first four years of its life

i think i'd rather buy used, and when my 06's engine dies i'm gonna buy the D-4-D conversion kit and do a diesel swap
