Wouldn't it be nice to have a new Taco?

Several months ago I purchased my first ever Toyota. Luckily I purchased a 2010 Tacoma with 44K miles, one owner theft recovery. I bought the truck to haul a few items, run errants and keep miles off of my new SRX. Little did I know that I would like the Taco about as much as any vehicle I've ever owned. Now I wonder just how nice it would be to have a new Taco with all the options I'd like. Anybody else think about a new Taco?

some of this, a little of that
What options are you missing? Can they be easily added for a lot less than you would pay for a new Tacoma?

What sub model 2010 do you have? Your truck isn't that old...

You won't be able to get all of the options that you have on you SRX. If you want that luxury you will have to step up to a full size truck.

    yes

I thought about it in 2010...and again a few months ago. I acted on those thoughts both times.

My 2010 had 51k on it when I bought it in April, and man...it looked brand spankin' new. Completely unmolested, even a new car smell.

Now it's a completely molested, modded, and roughed up daily driver after 7 months. I felt much better doing what I did to a truck that had been broken in, than to a truck that was assembled 2 months ago.

    This.
I paid off my 2010 Taco on Oct.22. It felt good to not have any payments, only bad thing is on Nov.1 I bought a 2013 4runner. My Taco is still my daily driver. I have about 350 miles on the 4R.

the only way I would buy a new one is when they add a front locker as an option, that would be warrentied.

i think once i pay mine off im going to SAC the ol' whore

you'll be waiting a long time for a front locker if you wait for that 4.0 to die! i think the truck could be completely rusted to fuck in a junk yard and the engine would still fire up.

Ohh, the OP has a 5 lug. Well that I can kind of understand. But regardless of the model they're only new for so long. Not to mention when "The Firsts" happen on a brand new truck they hurt that much more. Like the first scratch, the first dent, or in my case the first cigarette burn.
