The whole thing is easy to remove (there are directions and pictures on here) and the center section can be separated fairly easily. I would separate the two for painting. If you do that, seeing that your location shows CT, it would be best to remove the grill then place it in your house to warm up before removing the center section. The center section is held in place with plastic tabs and the warmer the plastic is, the less likely you will be to break them.
ahh good thinking. I was going to heat up the garage with the bullet heater to about 80. Well i bought the matching color Black (202) and plastic adhesive primer . Well see how it looks. Going to take some before and after pictures b.c i can not find any 2012 or 2013 painted to match truck color. Ordered paint yesterday so hopefully friday or sat it will be here
