Have pretty much narrowed my moisture problem down to the O ring seal, have applied more sealant to the actual lens body face so now I need to ask for some ideas on how to enhance the sealing at the point where the O ring meets the housing. So far some have suggested to grease the O ring before installing the lamp. Open to advice, perhaps the grease type, fire away!!

    Too few to list.
Use dielectric grease, it's silicone grease and not only it preserves the o-ring but it also seals out moisture.

Well took everything apart, dried it,and used the dielectric grease. Today I c a small condensation forming again on the inside of lense?? Not sure what to think of this, raining steady here . Anyone got a suggestion? Try another lamp maybe. Just thinking someone may have experienced this and conquered it. Thanks

Top up the halogen fluid and you won't have another issue.:)

Seriously though, are you very sure the light was totally dry inside before reinstalling? It doesn't take much moisture to fog up a light.

My only other suggestion would be to remove the bulb, then fill it half full of water, reinstall the plug and see where the water leaks out. Mark the spot with a felt marker, dry it completely and repair the leak.

I dried the lamp housing overnite above a wood stove,so no chance of left over water! I like the idea of half filling, sure not much else I can think of. Wait and c for any other ideas while the rain pours down,no shop to work in. Thanks a bunch

It's most likely the seal around the lens itself and not the bulb. You're gonna need to bake it, take the lens off and re-seal.

Filled with water, could not c any leakeage. Glue gunned the lens to housing surface, siliconed around the lamp to housing area, plugged breather hole. Will leave light off and c if moisture still forms???
