    Hello all,
I am a noob on this subject so your help is greatly welcomed.

Just had my alignment done about a week ago, and after talking with the rep, they said that my caster, and camber are off, or bent.. Here is the info on the alignment, and truck

06 Tacoma Access Cab 4 cycl
    2 Wheel drive
    5 Speed Manual
    BF Goodrich A/T P255/45R

    Front Caster:
Min: 4.4 Max: 5.9 (Left, and Right)
Initial Left: 1.8, Final Left: 1.7
Initial Right: 1.9, Final Right: 2.1

    Front Camber:
Min:-1.4 Max: 0.1 (Left, and Right)
Initial Left: 0.4, Final Left: 0.4
Initial Right: 0.4, Final Right: 0.4

All the other numbers for the rear etc are all with in spec from what I can tell. Also I do not have my truck lifted, and everything on the truck is stock except for the tires.

So, my question is how to do I fix these two things (Caster, and Camber) so, that I am inbetween the min, and max suggestion?

    Thanks.

Need to know a few things:

-Has the truck been in an accident or suffered a front end impact (including off roading)?
-Did the alignment shop even try to adjust camber or caster?

Take a look at this thread. Tacomas have adjustments for camber caster on the lower control arm. Two cam bolts on each lower control arm. Adjusting both in the same direction changes camber. Adjusting only one changes caster. Take a look and see if the cams are maxed out.

I have had the truck for 3 1/2 years now, and I can say that i have not had any front end damage or a wreck. Before my ownership of the truck I dont think there was any front end damage that I could tell of. The alignment was on point when I got it then. I dont think the shop even tried to adjust it, the guy seemed kind of lazy, and in short I may take it another shop for a second opinion. I will look at the thread you suggested as well, and see if i can find what your talking about, and see if that is the issue.

So, lets play the what IF game. If after l check this, and all seems correct, what is my next step? What do I need to replace?

    Thanks.

If everything is correct, I.e. the front end is not damaged, the cams or tabs are intact and there is room to adjust, take it to a shop that knows what they are doing and get your truck aligned.

Ok. So, I looked at the thread, and seen the pic of where to adjust the LAC. But I dont know (based on the pic) what is considered maxed out? How do I read the dial so to speak.

    Thanks.

when you look at the head of the lower cam bolts there is a oblong washer on it. The point that is farthest from the bolt head is the "center". If it's turn all the way to the left or right stop taps then that cam is maxed in that direction.

Ok. So, I see the hole in the washer, and understand that now, thanks. Now as far as the bolt goes, that little hash mark or line is your pointer of where it adjusted right?

    Thanks.

So, I was re-reading my last post, and see that it does not make sense. The question is. Is the little hash mark or line on the bolt the line I use to see if it is centered or not?? Sorry for the dumb question, but I have not idea what Im really doing.

    Thanks.
